A Willowvale born hip hop artist by the name of Lwandiso “Coylematic” Fuzile is making more rhythm with his music in the City of Jozi. Coylematic is a self-made hustler who takes every opportunity that comes his way in the big city of Johannesburg and turning it into gold with a rhythmic sound of hip hop. Coyle made his mark in the music industry with his hit song “If I die” and still continue with his hustle. Mbhashe Online talked to Coylematic about his new opportunity with one of the leading soapies on tv, Rhythm City. We ask him few questions about the opportunity he got from Rhythm City recently.
Lwandiso “Coylematic” Fuzile
Mbhashe Online: Coyle, briefly tell us about the agreement you signed recently with Rhythm City.
Coylematic: Like everyone I emailed my two tracks, “Dintja Tsa Teng” and Don’t Judge Me” to the Music Supervisor of Rhythm City which is Mpumi Phillips. Last week Thursday I received an email from her saying Rhythm City would love to use my song “Don’t Judge Me”
Mbhashe Online: Wena as an artist ukufumana ithuba lokuba kudlalwe umculo wakho on a national TV kukuthatha kukubekephi as an artist?
Coylematic: It’s a big achievement as an artist, honestly. That clearly means you’re progressing, you’re growing as an artist and says a lot about your music quality.
Mbhashe Online: Udibene njani nabakwa Rhythm City?
Coylematic: I used to do extras (background acting) for Skeem Saam at Sasani Studios (where they shoot): Skeem Saam, Scandal and Rhythm City. Out of curiosity as an artist I bumped to Ntombi who works for Rhythm City and we had a conversation about submitting songs for Rhythm City soundtracks, then she introduced me to Mpumie (Rhythm City Music Supervisor).
Mbhashe Online: Usasebenza njenge artist ezimeleyo okanye ikhona indawo eku sayinileyo ophantsi kwayo ngoku?
Coylematic: I am still pushing myself, getting deals without any help, am not under any label.
Mbhashe Online: Salute….One last question Coyle. When can we expect to hear the song on Rhythm City?
Coylematic: We can expect to hear the song from 07 – 18 October 2019.
